Your Time Is Running Out!
Think of your life as the most vibrant, unique colored strand that could be chosen to use in the master’s tapestry called life. I know on this site, we can’t always make out the bigger picture. Heck, most days, it may, even from our viewpoint, look like a big tangled mess. It’s not. From the beginning of time until today, God has a plan and is in control. God’s throne will last forever and ever. See Hebrews 1: 8-9. God wants you in this beautiful creation. You and I are born for such a time as this. He has just the right place for your strand in this tapestry called life. God loves you, unconditionally, wholeheartedly, and passionately. The Bible says in John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whosoever would believe in him would not perish but would have everlasting life. I have some pretty great news to share with you today, and it doesn’t matter how much you’ve messed up in your life to hear this good news. I’m sure, like myself, you may even have regrets in your life, but the good news is absolutely what you need to hear. The God of the universe loves you and will accept you just how you are right now. Like a loving father, he will come to you with open arms and embrace you, for you are His chosen lost child. See once, I was lost, but now I am found. The Bible says God leaves the 99 for the 1. What’s that even mean? You may have even heard this once before. In the Bible, there is a story found in Luke 15. Jesus tells three different parables, and one of these stories is about a lost sheep, and during the parable, he says there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who has been rescued than over ninety-nine good people who don’t need to be saved. Are you the one Jesus needs to rescue? The only way you’re going to make it is to have a radical change and accept Jesus. See Jesus is the key, Jesus is the gift, Jesus is the answer, Jesus is the pass. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one gets to the Father, but through His one and only son, and that son’s name is JESUS!
Here let’s break it down like this. Say your friend had some awesome good news to share with you. They personally have passes to go to an amazing concert. Now, this just wasn’t any concert. It’s a once in a lifetime event. Like you will never get a chance to go again. This is like the best concert ever that comes with amazing prizes, blessings daily, better health, supernatural strength, miracle signs, and wonders. The option to have financial gain, even a chance to see signs, wonders, miracles, and get a healing touch. Like this is a seriously amazing event. There are three types of passes for this event. There’s the backstage pre passes. Now, these passes are already gone. These passes belong to the people who had already been to the event. In the Bible, they call these backstage people the cloud of witnesses. They’re basically the people that have gone before us.
Now it’s your turn. Your friend has already received their ticket to this big main event, and they are offering you an opportunity because the price has already been paid to take your ticket and join this event. Now the event that I’m talking about is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. The Bible says for the wages of sin is death, but life’s gift is only through Jesus Christ Our Risen Lord. See, the price that was paid was actually when Jesus died on Calvary. He was the perfect, spotless Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world; he died for me, and he died for you; he died for your friend and for your grandma too. Remember that first verse we talked about, John 3:16. It’s whosoever and guess what?; you’re whosoever. So it’s up to you to actually take this ticket by Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and being saved. You’ll get access to a totally different type of life, a life that rewards a life that offers healing from sickness and disease. Every time another person accepts the free ticket, all of Heaven has a major party.
There’s another Parable in Luke chapter 15 about a father who has two sons. One son stays, and he works on his father’s land, and he’s always with him. The second son wants to take his inheritance to leave and ruins it, but then he comes to himself, and he realizes that he’s wasted everything, and he longs to come home to the father. They call him The Prodigal Son. Well, in this Parable, we get a glimpse of what God is like and how much he loves us. See when the Prodigal Son starts to come home, the father sees him and meet him, and he comes running towards him with open arms. As the son starts to prepare to speaks out loud, which is your part, you have to confess with your mouth, and you have to repent with your mouth and say that I’m a sinner and accept Jesus into your heart. See Roman 10: 9-11 “If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart (or spirit) that you believe and is justified, and it is with your mouth (into the physical realm) that you profess your faith and are saved. As the scripture says, anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
So when the son returns, when the son repents, this is what happens. He treats him as an honored guest. He gives him the best rope. He gives him a sign of confidence by putting a ring on his finger, he puts sandals on his feet, he lavishes him in love, and he set him apart! Again we get a picture of the Kingdom of Heaven, which is like a party. Many people think and do not associate God with music, dancing, feasting, celebrating, or even Joy. What a life when it says in the Bible, otherwise in several locations and even verses like the Lord’s joy is our strength. I sometimes sit and think how amazing it must have been to be a disciple and some of them laughing and fun they had with Jesus. Not so much now as I’ve grown in my walk, I realize I’m just as lucky because His Spirit lives inside of me, and I get to laugh and fellowship with God and have a relationship with him until I get to see God the Father face to face in heaven. So if all of heaven rejoices over one saved, it is a pretty exciting place. If you are reading this blog, this is your chance to hear the truth, and this one blog, if you choose, could change everything. It could be your ticket.
I want to ask you a couple of questions. Has anyone ever told you that God loves you and that he has a wonderful plan for your life? If you were to die this very second, do you know for sure without a shadow of a doubt that you’re going to end up in heaven? The only way for this to happen is if you accept Jesus in your heart as your Lord and Savior. See, the Lord is coming soon for his people. There isn’t much time left to take advantage of getting into this Main Event. Maybe your story is a little different. You knew God. You believe in him, but you walked away from him. You grew cold; you have not been making God first in your life and serving him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. You’ve walked away like The Prodigal Son. Today is the day that you can reconnect your life to Christ, put him first, let him be your first love, start to read the word truly, and believe that the promises that are in it there are for you. Maybe your heart grew cold because of anger or resentment and bitterness; maybe you had a death in your life for a tragic event or a sudden divorce. It made you lose the passion and that desire to be a part of God’s kingdom. See, you stepped away from that most important relationship in your life, but today can be your day to confess and run back to the father.
There’s going to be a time when Jesus comes, and the eastern skies will crack open. All of those who have already accepted the gift will be raised to heaven. It’s not going to be a party for those who have been left behind. Actually, for 7 years, the Earth will become a foreshadowing of the eternal hell that awaits those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. See, there’s a real heaven to gain. There’s a real hell to shun, and we were never created actually for hell. It was created for Satan. The third of the Angels pridefully turn their back on God and fell from Heaven. That’s what the Lake of Fire has been created for. Its torment its complete separation from God. Jesus’s heart, God’s heart, is that no one would end up there that none should perish, no not one. See, you have a spirit, but your physical body one day will die, and every one of us will stand before God, and you’ll either get to enter in with your backstage pass to the after-party, or you will not be able to join and be asked to leave.
I want to share with you what the Bible reads. It says for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. It also says that the wages of sin are death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, Our Risen Lord, the one who conquered sin and death. The Bible also says that whoever shall call upon the Lord’s name shall be saved. Well, you’re whosoever. Of course, you are. We all are. We are all created in Christ God’s image.
I want to pray with you right now. I pray that God blesses your family with a long and healthy life. I also pray Jesus would make himself real to you, and right now, do a quick work in your heart. And if you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I pray you to do so right now. Pray this prayer with me out loud, dear Lord Jesus, Come into my heart. Forgive me of my sins, wash me, and cleanse me. Set Me Free. Jesus, thank you that you died for me. I believe that you have risen from the dead and that you’re coming back again for me. Could you fill me with the Holy Spirit and give me a passion for the lost, and a hunger for the things of God, and a holy boldness to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am now saved! I am now born again because of what Jesus did! I am forgiven, and I am now on my way to heaven. I’ve accepted the ticket, I’ve accepted the pass, I’ve accepted the gift of Jesus. I now have Jesus in my heart.
