His Gift Is Priceless
In this world today, people tend to have a value system on everything. At an auction, the item goes to the highest bidder. People are always craving something bigger and better. The brand name and what you paid for it matters. So in a world that is driven by things in what their worth, one of the things that blows my mind is how we’ve lost the value and the high price that was paid for the redemption of human life.
There is a message that many have not even heard today, or they’ve heard a watered-down version of the fact that there is a God that created the heavens and the earth, but not only did he create the heavens and the earth, but he also created man in his image so that he could have fellowship with him and he created something that could choose or choose not to love him.
This fantastic truth can be found in the book of Genesis, which is the first book in an incredible love letter called the Bible. If you read Genesis chapters 1 and 2, you learn how this world came to be. It was created out of love, and God found what he made to be good. When sin enters the world, we see even then; God has a plan to restore His people to himself out of his great love. Let’s jump to a book I love that ties Genesis to where we live today. The CHURCH, The Called, The Chosen, The Redeemed.
The Word Became Flesh:
John 1:1 – In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him, all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light so that through him, all might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. 14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15(John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.'”) 16Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
He who spoke the word into Existence with his very breath is the same God who came to this world as a humble servant to die for you and me. He ends up paying the highest possible price! There’s even a part where it says if there had been another way, then it would have taken place, but the Bible says that” he is the way the truth and the life and no man cometh unto the Father except through him.” Why did he come? Well, the Bible says in John 3:15-18 – 15Then whoever puts his trust in Him will have a life that lasts forever. 16For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. Whoever puts his trust in God’s Son will not be lost but will have a life that lasts forever. 17For God did not send His Son into the world to say it is guilty. He sent His Son so the world might be saved from the punishment of sin by Him. 18Whoever puts his trust in His Son is not guilty. Whoever does not put his trust in Him is guilty already. It is because he does not put his trust in the name of the only Son of God.
So the high price of the perfect Lamb of God that took away the sins of the world was Jesus, and because of him, we are now different. This makes those who accept this gift say it with me: I am destined, I am adopted, I have forgiveness and hope, and the power to live in freedom. I have been given a heritage. He has given us his power. We are the head and not the tail. We are called to live in the new way he has given us and shown us to live victory to victory. Not by might!! Not by Power! But by His SPIRIT!! The Bible says in 1 John 4:4 – 4Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
I’m given position by his spirit; I’m giving authority and responsibility to take dominion over this earth. For me, part of that was getting healed from fear! Fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of what others think, fear I am not qualified or that I am not enough. The high price paid for me means that I genuinely had to search, believe, and claim who God says I am!!! Maybe you need that reminder too. See the reason we are born here and now is that we have an assignment that nobody else can fill. I got this word from a dear sister in Christ. I am like a Seven layer chocolate cake when filled by God I am desirable to the world my life has a sweet taste and aroma that everyone should want a piece of the peace and gift of joy that I have. He ultimately makes me for him to be used by him and to bring this gift to others. The Bible says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
So now that you know the truth that you matter. What God thinks about you and souls saved is what we should focus on. Our integrity, loyalty, wisdom, patience, generosity, and discernment are the gifts we should use well!! If you remember nothing else from today, remember this. He has laid his life down so we could overcome and have fellowship with Him. God put a value on all of us, and it has nothing to do with our skin color!
I want you to say this to yourself and believe it in the depths of your soul that you have been bought with a high price! You are now not like everyone else, for you are a new creation created in Christ Jesus. You are in Christ, and you are called to be set apart. He called you to overcome, and the power of his love has been poured out for EVERYONE, and when you accept this, he now lives inside of you.
We are more than a conqueror because of what Christ has done for you and me, and that is the message we need to share with the world.
